This World

For five tiring days in a week, I am surrounded by people who are my age or younger or older. To my right when I’m in sitting position is a noisy, new student who thinks he’s so bad. To my left is a comedian, making the class laugh and cough. We’re either forty or forty-one in St. Aloysius. There are foreigners: white skin, different language that tempts you to make fun of them and thick accent that makes you stare stupidly and say: “What?”

Starting high school is scary and I want to hide and bathe in Oreo-covered butterflies. But, of course, I cannot. There are limited things you can do in the real world. An inspiration who is namely Owl City (OWL CITY IS ADAM YOUNG) has sung: “Reality is a lovely place but I wouldn’t want to live there.”

Reality is crazy and true and happy and sad and is a silly rollercoaster, sometimes slow and sometimes fast, makes you hurl. I, as an introvert who spends some of her time (or most of her time) being quiet and daydreaming, would rather be alone. I may look like this young, naïve, big girl because that’s what my outside appearance tells you but I feel like Adam Randal Young: shy, quiet, introverted in so many levels and lonely. I have realized that I am starting to relate to Mr. Owl City’s songs more than the known enchantress a.k.a. Taylor Swift’s songs. Is that a good or bad thing?

I’ve been a Swifty longer than I’ve been a Hoot Owl. But I’ve learned that it doesn’t matter if you’ve been there from the beginning, it matters if you’ll be there until the end. But I would never want their music to stop playing. They say: All good things come to an end. Aye?

I love fantasy. The world I imagine inside my head looks prettier than dump sites and seemingly endless bombings.

Life is quite surreal.

It’s a mystery and I don’t know a lot of things but I do know that this is life.

Owl City makes me happy. All Things Bright and Beautiful is too out of this world to be able to be described in words. His songs have meanings behind their lyrics. I highly recommend listening to Owl City. Happy drugs.

I’m simply papier-mâché, delicately pulled into this world along with water, glue and newspapers.

Being mainstream means fitting in and going with the flow (or, being more specific with my words, crowd). I chose to sit and watch and dream. It isn’t easy because sooner or later you’ll get pulled out of your reverie and get forced to read thick textbooks you despise with all your being. You sit in a closed room with twenty plus kids you have to get to know. You make your ears listen to the sentences that are coming from the teacher’s always moving mouth because you don’t want to fail quizzes and tests because your parents pay for your education. You raise your hand repeatedly to answer questions about technology and the Philippine archipelago so that you won’t have to see writings on your future report card saying you have low grades and you need improvement.

We talk tongue twisters and malnutrition but do we ever get to perfectly keep them in our tightly screwed minds? We tend to forget the things said in a discussion after the discussion. We only get to remember bits by tiny bits of integers and the talking dog when we’re 40 year olds. They’ll remain bits. Just bits. Unless we attend high school again when we’re starting to grow gray hair.

I’ll let myself learn but sitting and staring and making yourself look like you understand everything in this world is starting to get more boring and more boring. I bet after a hundred years, school hours = 0 hours. Just 20 minutes. Let’s hope for planet Earth’s future.

"Hey Stephen" and Glee

Hello!

So I wanted to write about Glee only but I remembered that I haven't blogged about the "Hey Stephen" thing.
Do you know the guy Taylor Swift sang about in "Hey Stephen"? Yeah. That Love and Theft guy. Well, HE REPLIED.

If you're a certified Swifty, you probably already know this. He replied through a song. He said he "wrote [it] for Taylor back in 2008 - right around the same time she wrote the song "hey stephen" (from her "Fearless" album)". And he just replied this April. Which means he is terribly late. I have to confess that I was very worried for Adam Young. LOL. Adam Young is the d00d.

First, "Enchanted". And then "Hey Stephen". Huh. Nice.

Anyway, WHO HAS SEEN THE BORN THIS WAY GLEE EPISODE WHICH IS 90 MINUTES LONG?! Cuz I did yesterday! And I loved it!!!

Before I watched the episode, I saw the promo for the next episode which is "Rumors". And it BROUGHT ME DOWN. Why? Cuz I hate the "cheating" part of the promo. Kurt and Sam?! NO! Klaine?!

I wanted to complain a lot and maybe emote......

.... Until I realized that the next episode's name is "Rumors". LOL. DUH! It could be a rumor! I'm hoping it is! Sam probably confessed something and Kurt wanted to help or whatever.

And then my happiness was restored because of all

THIS

And then I found this today via Tumblr...

Are they singing to eachother?!?!

Shoot.

News

Oh hello there! I have realized that I haven't blogged (Tumblr doesn't count) for a while.

Anyway, if you're a Hoot Owl, you must already know that Adam Young has been appearing on tinychat for three times. And I haven't even grabbed the chance to be there while he was there! I blame time zones. Damn you, time zones. Well, at least time zones don't respond to whatever you say. I don't want to hear the time zone whispering, "U MAD?" in a deadly tone. Brrrr.

Anywho, I am impatiently waiting for May 2. International tour dates, people! And, of course, I can't wait for June 14 too. ATBAB ATBAB ATBAB ATBAB ATBAB ATBAB ATBAB ATBAB ATBAB. STOKED.

And I can't wait for the new Taylor Swift music videos! MEAN AND THEN THE STORY OF US. Who else is super excited? :D Cuz I know I am! *dances like a whale*

OK, people. That's it. Thank you for the views. That is lovely.

And if you have more time to waste, go take a peek at lavacicles.tumblr.com. :) <3

I Don't Have a Good Title

Hey there. Read along.

I learned that Adam Young still has a crush on Taylor Swift. And that made me mentally squeal. Can't they just be an official couple already? Do we really have to wait for whatever they're busy with to end? MEH. not cool, d00dz. not cool.

And Taylor Swift (@taylorswift13 on twitter) now has 6MILLIONSWIFTIES. Isn't that insanely amazing?! I knew itttt. Oh and two words: MUSIC VIDEO(S).

I also consider myself an official Hoot Owl. CHEERS PEOPLE.

So if you don't listen to Owl City music, let me say this: WWWWHHHYYY?!?!?!?!?
I may or may not have to shove ice cream sandwiches down your throat.
I think know Adam Young is amazing. As in you-should-listen-to-his-music amazing. And his tweets are funnehh. Most of them are very entertaining. THUMBS UP.

He's pretty cool. IKR?!

My first concert ever... TAYLOOOORRRR!!!!!!!!

One word: Epic.

I promised you guys that this blog post will be my longest so far. So here YOU go.
THE CONCERT WAS FREAKING AWESOME!!!! Taylor made history and it was legendary. She was so beautiful! Cinderella can't even cover it.... She's Greek Goddess Aphrodite, people!!! Every single thing about the concert was great! Everyone, including me, was screaming and singing along the entire time. I never grew tired, well, except for my voice. Hehe. But that happened after the concert.
There was this big screen on the stage that made the stage so beautiful. I loved Taylor's dresses too. She whips her hair back and forth like crazy and everytime she did the crowd would go wild.

She sang all my favorite songs. She sang Fearless, Fifteen, Love Story and You Belong With Me from her Fearless album and she sang a lot from Speak Now. The designs coming out of the big screen were so pretty! I loved it when she sang Enchanted. She was wearing a long, white dress and the background was, well, so pretty! While she was singing You Belong With Me, she went down the stage! But she did not go too far. Oh well.

The experience was unforgettable and will always be. My mother did not record everything but I honestly do not care. I have it all in my head! All I have to do is play it all over again and again until I forget... but I do not think I will forget a single thing. I just wish that Taylor could have stayed a little longer and that she would have had a concert in Manila twice. Maybe more songs and hair-whipping. But I'm already happy and wonderstruck all over. Hehe. I love her so much.

Taylor sings about love, life and heartbreak. I love all of her songs. Her music. It's not like I'm glad when she gets dumped because she will write another song. Nah. I'm glad because she knows how to go on with it. She has pictures to burn and I guess that makes her feel better. Taylor is young and free but she is not stupid. Some people get dumped but they do not learn anything AT ALL. Taylor is nothing like that. She learns from her experiences. She never complains about getting tired of this and that. She is a friend. She is a role model.

Some people, especially human males, like Taylor just because of her outside appearance. But I do not think that is what matters. It's what's inside that matters. But thank God that everything about Taylor is beautiful. I will never forget this. There is no way Justin Bieber can do a better job. Taylor makes 41 years old feel like they are 12 years old. She is the essence of my sparkle. Forever and always...

My first concert ever. W-o-w. Thank you, Taylor, for teaching me to be fearless and to speak now.

"Never forget the essence of your sparkle."

Amber

Taylor Swift got me having Swift Syndrome

Hello bloggers and outsiders!

Can't you believe that tomorrow is the day? I'm, like, mentally screaming in my head right now... well, half of my head is screaming and half is listening and singing along to Enchanted. Yep.
I just really can't hold the fact that she's coming here. It's so magical. I would be seeing sparks fly and I would be jumping up and down like I want to pee. I am sooo excited.

I love Taylor Swift. Well, countless of people already know that, but I love to remind.
Taylor Swift is, via Adam Young, a modern Cinderella. She truly is. She's actually perfect for the role. But, hey, who's Prince Charming? I'm match-making. Haha. Well, any of her ex-boyfriends can't apply because, well, they dumped her. Prince Charming has never done that. So, Prince Charming doesn't dump. Check. And Prince Charming is not blonde. He's brown-haired. Huh. I know someone who has that. Check. Prince Charming is dreamy. Check. Am I the only one getting the hint?
Since Adam Young described Taylor Swift as a modern Cinderella then can't he be her modern Prince Charming? It fits perfectly.

So as a summary, I'm so crazy about the Taylor Swift concert!!!! Oh and I think Taylor and Adam should be together. I guess you guys already knew that. :)

Amber

Oh and by the way I'm freaking out!

It's meh.

OK. Actually, the Taylor Swift concert is just fewer than 2 days away! Aaaahhhhhh! I am the freakiest freak who is freaking out right now because of all the pure joy and excitement. This is a "once in a lifetime" experience and I am glad I am going to experience watching a Taylor Swift concert. I mean, that's precious!

So tomorrow I'm going to practice for the 20th Foundation Anniversary Celebration and that would exhausting... I think.

I guess.... THAT'S IT. I'm sorry for this short blog post. Nothing so rad or exciting happened to me today. Oh well.... but YOU should know that I would be blogging like I'm insane (well, I truly am) after the Taylor Swift concert. Epic!

Love,
Amber

If my heart was a house you'd be home

My family and I just arrived home more than 30 minutes ago and I am chillaxing for a while. While I was indeed chillaxing, I discovered that Owl City's Adam Young penned a message to Taylor Swift through his web site and it. made. me. swoon.
This is what it says (according to my "research"):

"Dearest Taylor,
I'll be the first to admit I'm a rather shy boy and since music is the most eloquent form of communication I can muster, I decided to record something for you--a sort of a 'reply' to the breathtaking song on your current record. This is what I wanted so badly to tell you in person but could never quite put into words:
Everything about you is lovely. You're an immensely charming girl with a beautiful heart and more grace and elegance than I know how to describe. You are a true princess from a dreamy fairy tale, and above all, I just want you to know...I was enchanted to meet you too.
Love, Adam."

... And my "research" also told me that comments are gushingly positive: "This version gives me goosebumps." "Taylor, if you're not going to marry him, I AM." "Gosh, he's wonderful." "This gives me hope that there ARE good guys out there!" "I bet it will melt her heart."

AAAAHHHH! I need to download Adam's version of Enchanted! People say that it's heart-warming.

Enchanted,
Amber

P.S. Perfect timing, Adam. Just when Valentine's Day is around the corner.

Astoria Plaza

Oh hi.

Good Morning. I just woke up an hour ago and my mother suggested me to go blogging. And now I'm blogging.
My family and I are going to stay in Astoria Plaza later on. We are just going to be there for one night. And the great news is that we are going to stay there for free! My dad's job has advantages. Hehe. I am glad we are going there. I need to chillax. It's not like I just came from a Speak Now tour. Haha. Nah. School just has me working. And when I mean "working", I mean "studying". With "dying". :)

Sometimes, I also want to go to school. Just to see my best friends. We are called the "AmCelLieAce". It's a combination of four names. Am is for Amber. Cel is for Jesceline. Lie is for Nathalie. And Ace is for Grace. We have been convinced that we are bffs. Haha. It sounds corny but it could be true. It was Jesceline's idea. Well, it's a long story.

Anyways, have I told you guys that I like love Taylor Swift? Hmm... I guess so. She's magic. :)

Walls of Insincerity

I was looking at the lyrics of all the songs of Taylor Swift's new album titled "Speak Now" and now I understand how most people find out who the songs are for. There is a code. These are what the capitalized letters spell (italicized):

MineToby (probably the Toby who played the main role - besides Taylor Swift - in Swift's Mine music video... but this song is also rumored to be about Cory... guess what family name. Haha.)
Sparks Fly Portland Oregon (a place where a certain person or whatsoever was at)
Back to December Tay (Taylor Lautner)
Speak Now - You always regret what you don't say (a story about picking the wrong girl)
Dear John Loved you from the very first day (hmm.. there must really be nice words behind mean ones)
Mean - I thought you got me (obviously about someone mean)
The Story of Us - CMT Awards (could be for any of the three: Taylor Lautner, Joe Jonas or John Mayer)
Never Grow Up - I moved out in July (about Taylor Swift moving out..... in July)
Enchanted - Adam (I was so glad to see that the capitalized letters spelled Adam. Obviously, Taylor Swift is crushing on Owl City's Adam Young. Collaborate!)
Better than Revenge - You thought I would forget (this song is for the Joe Jonas' next girlfriend after Taylor Swift.... I will not say her name. Hint: She is an actress)
Innocent - Life's full of little interruptions (continuation: and Kanye West is one of them. Hehe. Just kidding.)
Haunted - Still to this day (for an ex)
Last Kiss - Forever and Always (Forever and Always is a song in an album of Swift's - for Joe Jonas)
Long Live - For you (maybe for a "friendly" ex or a crush)

Clearly, most of her new album's songs are for her ex-boyfriends. But, the others aren't. Mine is for a story in the future, if it ever happens. Sparks Fly is for a certain show.... hmm. Speak Now is for boys picking the wrong girl. I am not sure for the song titled Mean. Never Grow Up is for all the memories of growing up before moving out... in July. Enchanted is for being enchanted and "wonderstruck" by a certain someone.... *Cough* Adam Young *Cough*.... Better than Revenge is for another one of Joe Jonas' ex-girlfriends. Innocent is for being innocent. Long Live is for living long. Hehe.

Anyways, things happened today.
I and my classmates were required to stay in a room with walls of insincerity. We vandalize the walls with scribbled lies. Hehe. Nonsense.
Everything went the way it did. Average. I would like to say my life is average, but that is for MLIA users. I have an account in MLIA, but I am not using it. Sorry, mylifeisaverage.com.

So, that's it for today. More tomorrow, I hope. :) Can't wait for Taylor Swift's concert in just a few days! Eek!

Love,
Amber

Wonderstruck

Good Afternoon.

My family and I just arrived home from looking around the mall. We ate first because I have not eaten yet then. We shopped. My mother, my brother and I went to the Department Store to look for Valentine's Day gifts for my teachers. My mother loves giving, I guess. We ended up buying chocolates. Cheap but yummy chocolates. We ate at McDonald's while waiting for my father. He was doing the groceries. So, after all that, we went home and I am right here, right now.

And if you wonder why the title of this post is "Wonderstruck", this is why:
This morning, I kept wondering. I was so curious. And I do not like that part of me. I am weird. But, almost everyone is. Anyways, I was wondering what would happen if I was someone else. Someone entirely different. A stranger to my family. Kind of weird. And what if I was never born? Who would my best friends befriend? Would my little brother become a big brother? All of those were from out of nowhere but my head. And what if I get reincarnated? Nah. Haha.

So, yeah, that's all. My curiosity is not cured.

(Anyways, I know this is a different story, but I learned that Taylor Swift's song titled Enchanted was written and sung by her for Adam Young. Haha! Glad to know. And I want to thank Adam Young for the title "Wonderstruck". I got it from him.)

Love,
Amber

LaLaLa

My second post.

This is so weird. I feel as if I have been blogging for months years already. Haha. Twitter helped me a lot.. Anyways, after I published my first post, I went biking around the village with my father. I always enjoyed riding bicycles. And I think I always will. I love feeling the wind in my hair when I get too fast. I love feeling the cool breeze on my skin, too. So, I bike when I can. Kind of like blogging. Haha.

Another thing I enjoy is music.

Music says words that I cannot. I'm a big fan of Taylor Swift and I am attending a concert of hers on February 19, this year, with my mother. She is not just a beautiful, tall American girl. But, she is also a good friend to strangers. Like me. She inspires me, well, that is obvious. She is magical.

I also like Owl City. Heard of Adam Young? I LOVE his songs. Well, I love Taylor Swift's songs more than I love his. But, I can be a fan of anyone. He makes magic. No, he's not a magician. But his music IS magic. His voice makes me feel like I'm floating in outer space. It is a very lovely feeling. I love him and Swift.

I cannot say I'm a Justin Bieber fan. It's not like I am not a fan, but I just cannot deal with this thing called "Bieber Fever". Ugh. But, I have to confess, I am also attending a concert of his this summer. Oh, well. I am not and will never be addicted to him. Ew. That isn't me.

So, to make the long story short, I heart music..... and biking.

Love,
Amber
